Andy co-founded Acre with Tom Leathes in 2003 and is the company's Managing Director - driving forward Acre's growth plan. He works closely with the sales, marketing and support teams to ensure Acre's services offer the most effective recruitment solutions to our customers around the globe.
Andy's commitment to developing the leading recruitment business in the field of sustainability has seen the company's turnover increase year-on-year at a growth rate which has significantly out-performed the UK recruitment sector since 2007.
Andy is an experienced entrepreneur with a track record of building and exiting several on-line businesses in the property and financial services sectors. He was also a founder and Non-Executive Director of Top10.com Media Ltd, one of the UK's most successful and innovative online product comparison businesses which was acquired by uSwitch in June 2011. Andy graduated with Honours in Zoology from the University of Wales Swansea in 1999. -

Richard joined Acre in October 2011 as a Non-Exec Director prior to becoming the Chief Executive in April 2012. He works very closely with the founder, Andrew Cartland, ensuring that Acre‘s growth is maximised as the business takes full advantage of the rapid growth in Sustainability around the globe.
Richard established his reputation by building the mid-market professional recruitment consultancy Martin Ward Anderson from £1m revenues in 1995 into a £40m business employing 225 people in 2006, when he successfully led the sale of the business to Randstad, the worlds 2nd largest staffing organisation. Richard remained with the business until late 2009 overseeing all of the post deal integration.
Between 2010 and 2012 Richard was one of one of four Board members of the Cornhill Partnership (a Barclays Ventures backed recruitment group), as well as CEO of one of the Group companies, Archer Mathieson. During this time Richard executed a rapid turnaround in Archer Mathieson culminating in a merger with its sister company BIE, creating the BIE Group.
Richard is also a Non Executive Director of Rees Draper Wright, a Management Consultancy recruitment business.

Ian has 25 years of experience within the recruitment market. His previous roles have included group board director roles for both Michael Page and Robert Walters.
During his 13 year spell at Page the business was transformed from a UK-centric financial recruitment company to the multi-disciplinary international recruitment company that exists today. Page and Walters both dramatically grew in terms of scale, profitability and market value while Ian was a director. -

Jim works across a number of businesses engaged in the low carbon economy and has been a Non-Executive Director at Acre since 2007. His main responsibilities are in helping clients to form strategies at the pre-hiring stage, the evolution of climate markets and mentoring the management team on climate policies.
The founder of Malthus Capital, Jim invests in and advises management teams in the 'green' space. He is the event chairman of Green Mondays, the regular networking event for the sustainability community and is an Executive Director for the company behind Green Mondays and Green Strategy.
Jim works closely with climate policy makers and was previously MD of the RPS London Office - and CEO of the YO! Group (YO! Sushi and YOTEL!). -

As an Executive Director at Acre from during its founding phase, Tom worked with the Acre team to build the company's core client base around the world, and led our market leading research programmes and brand development.
Moving to a non-executive position, Tom is now engaged in innovative internet marketing companies including Top10.com, and continues to work with the Acre Board to drive our commercial strategy forward.

Shannon Houde, MBA, is Acre's career coach and focuses on helping sustainability professionals match their values and skills to viable career options in the corporate responsibility and sustainability fields.
She has chosen sustainability career coaching to combine her experience as a hiring manager, a life coach and a CSR consultant, after having started her career 16 years ago in corporate recruiting.
Shannon has mentored and trained professionals in the field of CSR for more than 7 years with a focus on writing CVs as marketing tools, matching personal values to career paths, and interviewing with impact. She combines a wealth of knowledge from 10 years' managing cross-cultural teams and CSR projects in Asia, Europe, North and South America in both non-profit and corporate environments.
