My client, a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, is looking to hire an accomplished Senior Design Manager to join their successful business.

As the successful individual you will manage the heat and electric system design team’s activities. It will also be your responsibility to ensure that all the projects are correctly quoted for and that their delivery is compliant with the up to date technical standards. As well as meeting customer requirements and building solid working relationships, you will also provide support to other parts of the business and the business will welcome your input into improving services and products.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Manage the production of commercial renewable system designs for both business development and operational business
- Manage the process from end to end and be accountable for the quality of the system design department output

You will have an engineering, business or management qualification and experience and product knowledge of renewable technologies and opportunities. Experience of tendering for business is required and a track record of working in a customer facing role will also be necessary.

Reporting to the Head of Operations you will play a key role in the delivery of renewable projects to commercial, public sector, and domestic clients. You will have a proven track record of running multiple projects, a thorough understanding of the construction industry and a working knowledge of the practicalities of electrical installations including health and safety.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Oversee the design and installation of renewable electrical installations
- Ensure that the design, analysis, calculations and projects are completed on time and adhere to project standards and specifications
- Take overall ownership of the projects from conception to completion and to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Ensure resources are optimised and the agreed programme of works is successfully delivered on time and within budget

Experience:
