London - can facilitate home working | TBC

A London based consultancy is looking to hire various Associates to work on the development of the technical content for their new e-learning packages.

The consultancy is developing a number of ‘off the shelf’ environmental e-learning packages for clients to cover training within a variety of fields, but initially focussing upon Biodiversity (including developing actions plans and Phase 1 online training) and Sustainable Procurement (including flexible frameworks and ISO 8903).

The successful candidate will be given a brief and from there will be required to produce the technical content for the programme, including writing a script and developing training plans which will be produced in a series of 3 online training sessions per course. This role will be on an Associate basis, and each course series is expected to take around 10 working days.

With continual development of such programmes, this opportunity could provide ongoing work for the successful consultant.

A global brand is urgently looking to hire an Environmental Compliance Specialist on a 1 year fixed term contract to work across a variety of business units, ensuring a continual flow of environmental compliance information between teams.

Within this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for implementing environmental compliance, including working with various departments on anticipated and actual legislation developments, capturing, collating and monitoring information for business units and project managing the implementation of any development projects where necessary.

The role could potentially sit within any of the contract sites, with primary focus of the role to cover the East of England. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the purpose of the role is the auditing of multi-disciplinary activities across the contract to ensure quality, safety, environmental and contract conformance as well as ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Carrying out internal independent risk based delivery, process, project, safety and environmental audits. Some of these audits may be joint in conjunction with the customer.
  • Conducting additional audits as identified by the Quality Manager
  • Carrying out additional follow up activities from defects identified during the scheduled audit programme

The successful individual will require:

  • Ideally ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, however, applications would be considered from applicants who can demonstrate relevant experience and would be willing to work towards gaining this qualification.
  • Understanding of sustainability (ISO 4001) and Health and Safety (BS OHSAS 18001), formal audit qualifications in these areas would be an advantage.
  • A relevant mechanical, electrical or building qualification but more importantly be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge in one or more of these fields.
